Samuel,
Yeah my mistake :) Thanks for correcting!
However, the results still stands, and it definitely looks like digital to the ones who want to believe :D Should've been checked with Wikipedia before putting the entry online though.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D4_video_connector

D4 isn't digital, it's analogue. It's exactly the same as component video, just in a different package.

Judjing by the specs, this seems to be a cable you can use. Again, you should check if it is compatible with your TV's video-in connectors. D2 and D4 technologies listed in the "features" sections are the digital ones. It's pretty cheap also!

Um.. Sorry but I'm not sure about whether DVI and D4 connectors are the same.
The digital cable is made by Sony and plugs into D4 connection on the back of my television.

The whole thing looks like the one on this picture http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/av/docs/20010726/pd26.jpg

The cable might be a proprietary Sony stuff I think. At last partially since the connector on one end is standard PS2's video connector. Regarding the D4 connector on the other end - it is not a proprietary one since the television I connected it to is Panasonic.

The price of the cable actually supports video inputs of types D1 thru D5, and the price was about $25 as far as I remember, but it well worth its money.

That is great! The Digital plugs in to the DVI plug in the back right? Is that a proprietary Sony PS2 plug?
