del.icio.us and google plugins sign a peace treaty :)
Good news from del.icio.us :) They have finally updated their Firefox browser plugin so it doesn't conflict with Google's browser sync plugin.
Really good news because I really love del.icio.us, but I definitely love my Google browser sync plugin several magnitudes more. Before, del.icio.us was just refusing to work after detecting Google's plugin, but no more! I now have them both installed on my Firefox and am a really happy camper :)

Hey Mike, haven't talked to you in a while, good to see things are going well :)
I was wondering, as you use both plugins, what do you use each one for?
I'm an avid Google Browser Sync user, and I gave the delicious plugin a go, but I couldn't get used to it. I couldn't organise everything in groups like traditional bookmarks, and tagging stuff was kind of a pain. I finally found a use for delicious though: tagging those odd "meme" sites and videos that you see, and want to show people at a later date, but can only remember the odd word. Then the keywords come in handy.
So what do you use both of them for?

Indeed it was a long time :) Been pretty busy lately so sort of disappeared..
As for the questions, the most important application for Google's browser sync for me is the ability to sync history and passwords between my computers. Also, bookmarks synchronization is a nice feature to have and I have it turned on too. But del.icio.us is a totally different story. It's not about syncing but about organizing booksmarks (though of course you get online storage for your bookmarks, which don't even needs sync in its ordinary meaning). With del.icio.us I mostly tag bookmarks in order to find them later, someday :) I'm real lazy when it comes to putting stuff into respective folders etc, but adding tags is fine with me. And if I need to place something to my bookmarks toolbar, I currently use del.icio.us's bundles (put all my banking sites tagged "bank" in a bundle named "banks", put all "mac", "news" stuff into "Mac news" bundle etc..).
And if I have a bookmark which is already bookmarked by some other folks (and tagged by them for me), I don't even need to think about tags, and can just select tags from existing ones. Pretty cool and time-saving :)
So.. well.. I use both of them now, and life's good ;)
