thanks for the comment, and for the great RMagick of yours

The problem is of course not with RMagick but rather that with the RedHat installs. I have reinstalled the OS, along with all the libs by hand today, and everything worked perfectly just by typing 'gem install rmagick' and now I have prefectly functioning rmagick 2.1</description>
