Updated software of my TV set today.. Over 100Mbit/s unlimited optical line.. The TV asked to reboot itself.. Nothing special, I guess, but I looked at the process in perspective of last 10 years. Things changed.

that's my new LCD TV :) the old one is for sale!
and yeah.. things change - you rarely know for better or for worse though :)

Not worse, not yet…. just wait until your teapot or razor ask about firmware upgrade :) Oh, car 'brain' upgrade already exists, some models of VW cars was recalled to dealers service centers (a year ago) to perform this :-()
