Is there anyway to resize it if it is linked "from another" website. (I actually just uploaded the file to another spot on my site and linked to that. But now it's HUGE and overtakes the page/content. Can I resize this?)

Thanks again!

Great plugin. The size thing is an issue though. Be great to be able to specify a default width and height setting for the video. As it is now the video will take over a complete page.

Is it worth your time to incorporate this? Well time is money and you are saving us time with the simple plugin. I for one would be happy donate $30.00 USD to pay for your work. Maybe a few others would be willing to do the same?

Hi Rob,

no, unfortunately there is now way to align SWFs currently, using the plugin, but you might be able to achieve this effect by using the following approach:

1. insert the link to swf as usual
2. enter the HTML source editing mode in WordPress editor
3. Locate the link to swf file you have inserted
4. Wrap that link with a DIV tag, and specify the alignment of the DIV in its style attributes
5. So result would be like the following:
<div style="float:left">
<a href="xxxxxxxx.swf">....</a>
</div>
You can specify either float:left or float:right depending on how you wish to align the swf. I haven't tried that myself, but I think it should work.

Hi Mike

Is there a way of aligning the swf left or right, with the text wrapping around it?

Kate,

the error happens because you are trying to upload a file that if bigger than allowed by your hosting company. I think you most probably can't make changes to php.ini file (where the global settings for maximum upload file size are stored)

However, there is something you can probably do about it:

you have to add file named ".htaccess" (no quotes) to the root directory of your web site, with the following contents:

php_value upload_max_filesize 8M

this way the max allowed file size will be set to 8M Bytes. However, there is a chance that your hosting company doesn't allow to override global settings for your site this way. In that case, you should contact your hosting company with the error you have posted in the comment here, and they will probably help you (or may be not).

hope this helps,
Mike

Mike -
While attempting to upload (using the media upload under the post page), I get an error that states:

The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.
Back to Image Uploading

How can I fix this?
Sorry - I'm way over my head here.
Thanks for your help.
